Hope for Haiti – A Painting a Day

Posted by on Jan 15, 2013 in Art, Blog, Silhouettes

Haiti’s devastating earthquake in 2010 spurred me to organize a 40 painting project and art fundraising auction to raise money for relief efforts. My silhouette style translates very well to include children as helpers, so my daughters and their two elementary school classrooms joined it. It was an amazing, empowering and gratifying experience for all of us. We sold everything and sent Save the Children – Haiti over $6,000.

The blog of the whole process is here, but I mention it because prints are always available and proceeds still go to Save the Children. Please contact me for details.
