Art Walk – August 2014
If you’re in the area, stop by the Newburyport Art Walk this weekend. I’ll be there painting outside Ivy Lane on Pleasant St. It should be a gorgeous Saturday for art and a stroll. Pick up a brochure in any gallery, but hours are 3-7 Saturday, 1-5 Sunday

I’ve been into old travel posters and antique flight games for some time and picked up a 1927 deck of playing cards called Lindy and was charmed by the graphics. The painting below uses these cards in the background… an ariel view of Plum Island and the airstrip.
Mermaid on Driftwood
Started with a piece of driftwood that begged for a mermaid. Ended up with a beautiful collaboration with Heidi Newfell, who painted the box and added the light fixture to our piece.
